Hello everyone,
Sometimes, I’m a scaredy-cat. I don’t like to watch horror films because I’m easily frightened. I’m also easily startled if someone walks into a room unannounced.
If you ask me what I’m afraid of, I’ll probably tell you that I’m terrified of rats. That may seem like a strange fear, but I can explain why I’m afraid of rats. When I was twelve years old, I read the novel The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. It’s a fascinating novel about working in factories during the first half of the twentieth century. In the novel, a little boy is accidentally locked in a room and eaten by rats. This scene marked me as a child. Now, as an adult, I am still horrified of being eaten rats.
What are you afraid of? Why?
De quoi avez-vous peur ? Pourquoi ? Dites-le-moi dans les commentaires.
Best,
Tessa
